Before you hire a notary...

Before hiring a notary professional, you need to be sure of what you need to have accomplished. Please keep in mind that a notary public in the United States is not the same as a "notario publico" in Latin America. We are not attorneys licensed to practice law in the state of Colorado and cannot give legal advice nor accept fees for legal advice. If you need clarification about precisely what information is needed on a document, you should consult the person or organization providing the form to you for detailed instructions.

Also, be sure to check through your document and be aware if you need to have witnesses present for signing. You will need to provide witnesses that are not named in the document if the notary service you have hired does not provide this service.

A diferencia de los notarios públicos de alto rango de América Latina, el Notary Public de los Estados Unidos no elabora documentos de inmigración ni tiene un cargo de mucho prestigio equivalente al de un juez.
